Mandala-writing session for Muslim-Christian youths of Culiat, Quezon City













On December 12, 2010 (Sunday) about 22 Muslim and Christian youths participated in the Mandala-writing workshop conducted by NanaMaru member, Orlan de Guzman, Jr. (of the Mandala Peace Arts Initiative) held at the Barangay Hall of Salam Mulsim Compound of Culiat, Quezon City.

The Mandala workshop was part of the fourth session of the Strengthening Interfaith Youth Leadership Training being conducted by The Peacemakers' Circle for grassroots communities in Metro Manila.

Mandala workshop for Muslim-Christian Youths of Tala, Caloocan (Nov.13, 2010)



On November 13, 2010 (Saturday) The Peacemakers' Circle Foundation, Inc. conducted its third session on the Strengthening Interfaith Youth Leadership Training for grassroots youths of Tala, Caloocan City under the URI Bowes Award Program.

As part of the 10-session training for the 30 members of the Muslim-Christian Youths for Peace and Development (MCYPD) a Mandala-writing workshop was conducted by NanaMaru member, Orlan de Guzman, Jr. of Mandala Peace Arts Initiative.

It was probably the first time ever in the Philippines that a group of about 15 Muslim youths (joined by Christians) were engaed in the Mandala-writing peace art activity.

They all enjoyed the activity and expressed interest in continuing to make more written Mandalas after the wrokshop.

Mandala workshop for Muslim-Christian youths of Tala, Caloocan City


On November 13, 2010 (Saturday) a Mandala-writing workshop was conducted for about 30 members of the Muslim-Christian Youths for Peace & Development in Barangay 188, Phase 12, Tala, Caloocan City through the Leadership Training program of The Peacemakers' Circle (under the sponsorship of the United Religions Initiative)

On October 22, 2010 a Mandala-writing workshop was conducted at the Reintegration for Care & Wholeness Foundation, Inc. (RCWFI) as part of their monthly free growth sessions.


Held at their center in Loyola Heights, Quezon City, the workshop was facilitated by Orlan de Guzman, Jr.

There were nine participants who are members of the RCWFI community.
